Antonia Valencia is a design researcher and creative technologist exploring how complex technologies can be translated into accessible, participatory tools and design methodologies. She develops design-led research and participatory methodologies to make complex systems accessible and help democratize technology. Her work spans data visualization, interactive platforms, and open-source design, with a strong interest in participatory methods, workshops design and facilitation, and sustainable technology as tools for collective understanding and agency.

For 15 years, Caroline Sinders has worked at the intersection of design, technology, and human rights—because technology should never leave people exposed. Just as a house without a roof or foundation is unthinkable, digital spaces must be built to protect, not exploit.

Caroline has partnered with leading organizations, including the Open Technology Fund, Harvard Kennedy School, MacArthur Foundation, Amnesty International, IBM Watson, and the UK Government, to research harmful design, deceptive patterns, and online harassment. Their collaborations span from co-creating solutions with journalists in Mexico to advocating for user autonomy in landmark cases, such as the Bits of Freedom legal action against Meta, which pushed for the right to a chronological, non-algorithmic feed.

As an award winning artist, designer and researcher, Through data advocacy installations like “A Series of Choices”, Caroline amplifies community voices on reproductive health and justice, revealing widespread support for reproductive freedom even in restrictive environments. Their Feminist Data Set project, exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Contemporary Art Center of New Orleans, challenged algorithmic bias and provided open-source tools to ethically preserve media from at-risk groups.

Sam Smith is an open source intelligence (OSINT) investigator with experience using digital forensics and threat analysis to protect human rights and social justice organizations. As a former Research Director at Equality Labs and Black Core Security, he specializes in anti-doxing, threat intelligence, and countering far-right extremism, with deep expertise in South Asian human rights and global activist safety.

Sam has authored essential guides like the Anti-Doxing Guide for Activists 3.0 and led trainings for high-risk groups, including collaborations with Palestine Legal and investigations featured by CBS News and ProPublica.

Cooper Quintin**** is a security researcher and senior public interest technologist with the EFF Threat Lab, and one of the board member of Open Archive. He has worked on projects including Privacy Badger, Canary Watch, and analysis of state sponsored malware campaigns such as Dark Caracal. Cooper has given talks about security research at prestigious security conferences including Black Hat, DEFCON, Enigma Conference, and ReCon about issues ranging from IMSI Catcher detection to fem tech privacy issues to newly discovered APTs. He has also been published or quoted in publications including: The New York Times, Reuters, NPR, CNN, and Al Jazeera.  Cooper has given security trainings for activists, non profit workers, and vulnerable populations around the world. He previously worked building websites for nonprofits, including Greenpeace, Adbusters, and the Chelsea Manning Support Network. Cooper was also an editor and contributor to the hacktivist journal, “Hack this Zine.” In his spare time he enjoys making music, visualizing a solar-punk communitarian future, and playing with his kids.

Eriol is a multi-skilled, lead/senior designer with 14+ years of experience in design, technology and human rights and has been leading projects and teams for the last 9 years. They have focused on human centered or problem-centered experience (UX) design and research projects. Problem-centered experience design acknowledges that humans are not always the key beneficiary of design, sometimes we must prioritize security, privacy, accessibility, and the environment in our technology. After discovering a love for Free and Libre Open Source Software (FLOSS or OSS) Eriol started contributing as a designer to OSS projects. Most notably at Open Source Design as a core team member and travels to Open Source and Design conferences worldwide to speak about how design and designers can be integrated into OSS.

Roxy Zeiher is a graphic designer living and working between Berlin, London and Zurich. Particularly interested in critical and contemporary subject areas communicated through design, she pursues a multi-disciplinary creative practice. She interrogates culture with her research-driven design practice that investigates how the designed world, especially new technology, is shaping our behavior, perception and understanding.
