Convocation Research + Design collaborated with Bits of Freedom, EDRi and GFF to file a complaint against Meta under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). Representing an Irish Facebook and Instagram user, the coalition challenged interface designs that make it difficult for users to access and retain non-profiled news feeds. The complaint contributed to regulatory scrutiny of Meta’s recommender systems and manipulative design practices, with Ireland’s Coimisiún na Meán announcing a formal investigation in May 2026.
